About 👋
Professional:
My research career has spanned over 10 years, driven by my dedication to understand the intricacies of human behavior. My research journey began as an undergraduate at the University of Georgia, where I worked as a Research Assistant exploring older adults' cognitive health (read more about my research journey).
I then went on to pursue and earn my PhD in Developmental Psychology at the University of Florida. Following my PhD, I started my role as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Kennesaw State University.
As a PhD researcher and Assistant Professor, I taught courses in general psychology, human development, and research methods to 500+ students. I have also had the privilege of serving as a research mentor to over 30 junior researchers who have designed their own research studies, published papers, and presented at national conferences. Having collaborated with research partners worldwide, I have published over 20 research papers, drawing on both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Personal:
As an Indian-American born and raised in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia, I have been shaped by a rich array of cultural experiences and influences. When I'm not formally engaged in research, you can find me baking, cooking, reading, planning events, gardening, and hiking (check out my Curiosity Cabinet). I am also an avid health-enthusiast - I've been vegetarian my whole life and vegan since 2019. Several years ago, I discovered the transformative power of weightlifting - I'll never look back!
